PUBLIC NOTICE ON CONVERSION OF PIO CARDS TO OCI CARDS

PIO Card holders are once again advised to convert their PIO cards to OCI cards at the earliest. It is not a precondition prescribed by Ministry of Home Affairs/Bureau of Immigration of the Government of India for entry into India. However, Machine-readable electronic travel document is mandated by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)’s guidelines. Therefore, all PIO Card holders are advised to convert their PIO cards to OCI cards, at the earliest convenience. OCI application form is available on the website : https://passport.gov.in/oci/ |
