Re-issuance of OCI cards due to issuance of new foreign Passport to OCI card holders

Subject: Re-issuance of OCI cards due to issuance of new foreign Passport to OCI card holders.

 

Applicants need to apply online on   (https://ociservices.gov.in) and opt for Passport updation service under OCI Miscellaneous Services, upload photograph and the required documents. A mail is thereafter, sent to the applicant’s registered email for the successful upload of the documents.

2. Once the application is granted, details of the new Passport, address and contact gets updated in the OCI records after which an email is sent to the applicant confirming about the changes made in his/her OCI records.

3. Re-issuance of new OCI card will be applicable for the following categories:-

a. In case of issuance of new foreign Passport, (each time a new Passport is issued up to 20 years of age, and once after completing 50 years of age)

b. In case of changes in personal particulars viz. name, father's name, nationality etc.

c. In case of loss/damaged of OCI registration

Note: 

  • Applicant must mention his/her own email address while filling the Form.
  • It is advised that all such applicants should undertake travel to India, only after getting the confirmation mail.
