Read the following instructions carefully

2. Click on ‘New User’ and register with your details. If already registered, click on ‘User Login’.

3. Select the service required. (The required document list is available on the portal).

4. Upload all the required documents.

 How to submit application in the Consulate? 

1. Applicants are advised to take appointment online for the required services. Take the appointment at given below link:

2. Apart from same day service (From S.no. 1 to 7 - NO DHL REQUIRED), Prepaid self-addressed Envelope for return of Ready miscellaneous documents must be provided with the application. 3. Keep the applicant’s copy of Return DHL airway Bill for future reference.

 Note:- Applicants have to complete the application form on the e-SEWA portal, upload relevant documents and generate payment receipt with mode of payment as Bank Transfer. Bank detail link:

*The payment receipt should be submitted in the Consulate along with original supporting documents.

Miscellaneous Service Details:

1. Registration of Death, No Objection Certificate for local cremation and for transfers of Mortal remains to India (Dead Body Certificate)

The Consulate can issue No Objection Certificate for Cremation, Burial and Transporting dead body to India if the deceased was holder of an Indian Passport and was residing under the jurisdiction of the Consulate. Following documents are required to issue such certificates:

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii)Original and copy of Indian Passport of the deceased.

(iii) Copy of resident permit of the deceased.

(iv) In case of an accident/murder/suicide No objection from Police/ Court for cremation/burial or transportation of the mortal remains to India.

(v) Medical report stating cause of death with English translation.

(vi) Death Certificate issued by Comune (Plurilingual) or with English translation in case of Italian.

(vii) Letter from the Funeral/Transport Agency, taking responsibility for completing all the required formalities.

(viii) In case transporting of dead body to India Embalming Certificate clearly stating that it is not contagious/dangerous in any way to the health of passengers in the flight.

(ix) In case, close relatives (next of kin) of the deceased are in India, Consent letter or authority letter or affidavit signed by the close relative(spouse/son/daughter/parents) of the deceased. It should be duly attested by Village Officer/ Tehsildar/Panchayat President, with date and seal giving the name and designation of the officer who attests the document and his/her office seal. Attestation by Notary Public will be accepted only if the same is attested by the respective Court. Please enclose identity proof (Passport, Aadhar Card, etc.) of both the persons (person who is giving consent and to whom it is given).

(x) In case the close relative (next of kin) is in Italy, a self declaration with supporting documents (Passport copy and identity proof) to be submitted to the Consulate.

(xi) If a person wants to accompany a dead body to India an authorisation letter is issued from the Consulate. Copy of Passport and identity proof of individual is required to get the authority letter.

Fees: Euro 19 + 2 ICWF +1* = 22 Euros

2. No Objection Certificate for transfer of Mortal remains(ashes) of foreign nationals of Indian origin

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) In case, close relatives of the deceased are in India, Consent letter or authority letter or affidavit signed by the close relative(spouse/son/daughter/parents) of the deceased. It should be duly attested by Village Officer/ Tehsildar/Panchayat President, with date and seal giving the name and designation of the officer who attests the document and his/her office seal. Attestation by Notary Public will be accepted only if the same is attested by the respective Court. Please enclose identity proof (Passport, Aadhar Card, etc.) of both the persons (person who is giving consent and to whom it is given).

(iii) In case the close relative is in Italy, a self declaration with supporting documents (Passport copy and identity proof) to be submitted to the Consulate.

(iv) Certificate for cremation, Cause of Death Certificate(ISTAT) with english translation and Death Certificate(Prulingue).

Fees:  37 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF + 1* = 40 Euros

3. True copy attestation of Indian Passport/ other Indian document /certificate

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) Original Indian Passport with clear copy.

(iii) Original and clear copy of a valid or expired Permesso Di Soggiorno along with copy of ricevuta if applied for reissue of Permesso Di Soggiorno,

(iv) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc. (Self attested)

(v) Original Indian document to be attested (other than passport)

 Fees: 19 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF+1* = 22 Euros

4. Attestation of Power of Attorney(POA) /Affidavits/ Translated Indian Documents

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) Original Indian Passport with clear copy.

(iii) Two copies of POA/Affidavit to be attested

(iv) Original and clear copy of a valid or expired Permesso Di Soggiorno along with copy of ricevuta if applied for reissue of Permesso Di Soggiorno,

(v) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc. (Self attested)

(v) In case of POA, Signature of two witnesses (Indian nationals) alongwith their passport copies.

Fees: 19 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF+1* = 22 Euros

5. Attestation of Commercial Documents:

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) A letter from the company, in English, authorizing the bearer of the documents to get them attested from the Indian Consulate mentioning reason for attestation.

(iii) Original and clear copy of valid Passport or Carta d’Identità from Comune/Prefettura.

(iv) Commercial documents, in duplicate (must be Apostilled from Prefettura).

Fees: 46 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF +1*49 Euros  

6. Affidavits for child passport to be issued in India

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) Original Indian Passport with clear copy.

(iii) Two copies of Affidavit to be attested

(iv) Original and clear copy of a valid or expired Permesso Di Soggiorno along with copy of ricevuta if applied for reissue of Permesso Di Soggiorno,

(v) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc. (Self attested)

 Fees: 10 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF+1* = 13 Euros

7. Life Certificate

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) Original Indian Passport with clear copy

(iii) Original and clear copy of a valid or expired Permesso Di Soggiorno along with copy of ricevuta if applied for reissue of Permesso Di Soggiorno,

(iv) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc. (Self attested)

Fees: Euros 0.00.

8. One and Same Person Certificate

This certificate is issued as per Passport particulars of the applicant to identify the person in case of minor mistake on other Indian documents. Following documents are required to issue the certificate;

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) Original Indian Passport and clear copy.

(iii) Clear copy of MEA apostilled birth certificate/marraige certificate/PCC etc having minor change in personal particulars.

(iv) Original and clear copy of a valid or expired Permesso Di Soggiorno along with copy of ricevuta if applied for reissue of Permesso Di Soggiorno.

(v) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc. (Self attested).Fees:  37 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF +1*= 40 Euros.

9. Identity Certificate:Identity Certificate is issued as per the Passport particulars of the applicant. Following documents are required for issuing Identity Certificate.

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) Original Indian Passport and clear copy.

(iii) Original and clear copy of a valid or expired Permesso Di Soggiorno along with copy of ricevuta if applied for reissue of Permesso Di Soggiorno.

(iv) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc. (Self attested)

Fees: 37 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF + 1* = 40 Euros

10. Family Certificate.Family certificate is issued to only Indian Passport holder whose close family are resident in Italy or in India. In case the family is in India affidavit from parents duly apostilled from Patiala house is required.

The following documents are required to issue this certificate:

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) Copy of the valid Indian Passport of self and family Birth certificate/Aadhar Card of family member who don’t have Passport.

(iii) Original and clear copy of a valid or expired Permesso Di Soggiorno along with copy of ricevuta if applied for reissue of Permesso Di Soggiorno.

(iv) Copy of marriage certificate in case of spouse name is required on Family certificate.

(iv) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc. (Self attested)

Fees:  37 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF +1* = 40 Euros

 11. Birth registration of newborn child in Italy

The child born in Italy can be registered as Indian national if either of the parent is Indian. The birth of the child has to be registered within one year of birth of child at the nearest Embassy/Consulate. Following documents are required for registration of birth and issuing Birth Certificate:

(i) On-line birth registration has to be made from :

After completing the on-line registration, photograph (not more than 20kb) of the child and signatures of both the mother and father required to be uploaded.

(ii) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(iii) Original Indian Passport and clear copy of parents.

(iv) Original and clear copy of a valid or expired Permesso Di Soggiorno along with copy of ricevuta if applied for reissue of Permesso Di Soggiorno of parents.

(v) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc. (Self attested)

(vi) Marriage Certificate

(vii) Birth Certificate with parents' name issued from comune. 

Fees: 37 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF +1* = 40 Euros

12. Birth Certificate on basis of PassportA general certificate stating the date of birth and place of birth as per passport shall be issued. Following documents are required for issuing Birth Certificate from the Consulate.

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) Original Indian Passport and clear copy.

(iii) Original and clear copy of a valid or expired Permesso Di Soggiorno along with copy of ricevuta if applied for reissue of Permesso Di Soggiorno

(iv) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc. (Self attested)

Fees: 37 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF + 1* = 40 Euros

13. Unmarried Certificate/ Bachelorhood Certificate

The Consulate can issue Bachelorhood Certificate (Unmarried Certificate), if only the same is issued by the competent authority in India (Assistant Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioner of Police or above, an officer of not below the rank of First Class Judicial Magistrate, etc.,) and has been duly apostilled/attested from Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.
In case such a certificate is not being issued from the concered authority the applicant can obtain a declaratory order from the competent Court having jurisdiction in the area of residential address of the applicant, this Declaratory Court-order has first to be counter-attested by the concerned State Home Department and then apostilled by MEA.

The following documents are required to issue this certificate;

(i) Original Bachelorhood Certificate/ unmarried certificate / marriage ability certificate or Declaratory Order issued by the competent authority in India (Assistant Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioner of Police or any officer not below the rank of First Class Judicial Magistrate). The certificate should be duly apostilled by Ministry of External Affairs, India. 

(ii) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(iii) Original Indian Passport.

(iv) Original and clear copy of a valid or expired Permesso Di Soggiorno along with copy of ricevuta if applied for reissue of Permesso Di Soggiorno.

 (v) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc. (Self attested)

Fees: 37 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF +1*= 40 Euros

 14. Marriage Registration between Indian nationals:

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) A marriage notice in the prescribed format signed by both the applicants

(iii) The Affidavit from the parents of both sides duly notarized specifying that his/her son/daughter is unmarried and he/she has no objection for the marriage with the other person (Specifying the Name). 

(iv)Two newspapers in original (one from India and one from Italy) containing the advertisements regarding the proposed marriage. 

(v)Photocopies of the passports of both the bride and the bridegroom. 

(vi) Copy of valid permesso di soggiorno (PDS) released by questura

After submitting the application, a notice to be displayed on the notice board.

On completion of 30 days, applicants have to return to Consulate along with three witnesses and their passports (or any other valid documents in original).

They have to take appointment via email in advance for the registration of marriage.

 Fees:  46 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF +1*= 49 Euros.

15. Extract of Marriage certificate

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) Original Indian Passport of the applicant.

(iii) Clear copy of Indian passport of spouse.

(iv) Clear copy of MEA apostilled Marriage certificate.

(v) Original and clear copy of a valid or expired Permesso Di Soggiorno along with copy of ricevuta if applied for reissue of Permesso Di Soggiorno.

(vi) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc. (Self attested).

Fees:  37 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF +1*= 40 Euros.

 16.Certificate/Receipt' for reissue of International Driving Permit(IDP) from India

The Government of India has introduced the new Miscellaneous Consular Service to facilitate the re-issuance of International Driving Permit (IDP) to those Indian nationals, who were originally issued IDP by the concerned authorities in India. The Consulate will only issue a prescribed ‘Certificate/Receipt’ against the Fee of Euro 12.00 and NOT an IDP to the applicant. The applicant would need to upload all the relevant documents along with the ‘Certificate/Receipt’ issued by the Conswulate in the portal www.parivahan.gov.in and pay the requisite IDP fees online on the same portal.  On receipt of the application through the portal, the licensing authority under Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways (MoRTH), upon verification of the documents shall courier the IDP directly to the residential address of the applicant.

It may be noted that the role of the Consulate in this consular service is limited to the extent of facilitating submission of IDP renewal application in the portal www.parivahan.gov.in only. Any further correspondence pertaining to the subject, including status of the application, would need to be verified directly from the concerned authority (MoRTH) in India.

Documents required for the above certificate/receipt:

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) Original Indian Passport with clear copy.

(iii) Original valid Indian License and International Driving Permit with clear copies.

(iv) Original and clear copy of a valid or expired Permesso Di Soggiorno along with copy of ricevuta if applied for reissue of Permesso Di Soggiorno.

(v) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc. (Self attested)

Fees: 10 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF+1*  = 13 Euros.

17. NRI Certificate

A Non-Resident Indian (NRI) Certificate is a document that is issued by Indian Embassies, High Commissions and Consulates abroad to an Indian National overseas for certifying the NRI status of the applicant, who satisfy certain conditions.

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) Original Indian Passport with clear copy.

(iii) Original and clear copy of a valid or expired Permesso Di Soggiorno along with copy of ricevuta if applied for reissue of Permesso Di Soggiorno,

(iv) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc. (Self attested)

Fees: 37 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF+1* = 40 Euros

18. Authority Letter

This certificate is issued to the applicant who have applied for the passport in the Consulate and is under process. Following documents are required to issue the certificate;

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) Original old Indian Passport and clear copy.

(iii) Passport Renewal receipt

(iv) Original and clear copy of a valid or expired Permesso Di Soggiorno along with copy of ricevuta if applied for reissue of Permesso Di Soggiorno.

(v) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc. (Self attested).

Fees:  37 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF+1* = 40 Euros.

19. Police clearance certificate (for foreigners who have lived in India)

(i) Duly completed and signed Miscellaneous application form generated from e-SEWA Portal with one photograph.

(ii) Passport with clear copy of passport pages with immigration stamps

(iii) Copy of Residence Proof Carta d’Identita, ospitalità or Utility bill, etc.

(iv) OCI card, if available

(v) Copy of last held Indian passport, if applicable

 Fees:  20 Euros + 2 Euros ICWF+1* = 23 Euros.

 Note: If the document is issued from India, the same should be apostilled from Ministry of External Affairs, India. If it is issued by the Italian Government or private organization, it should first be apostilled from Prefettura and thereafter, submitted along with translation in English.
