Under the patronage of the Consulate General of India in Milan, and as a curtain-raiser to International Day of Yoga and World Environment Day, Yoga Shankara Association organized an event titled “The Earth as a Temple” at the Consulate on 25 May 2026.

Prof. Anuradha Choudry of Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and Prof. Vinayachandra Banavathy of Indica Yoga delivered an insightful talk on “Yoga, Art, and Ecological Consciousness,” highlighting the deep interconnections between yogic wisdom, artistic expression, and environmental awareness.

A Bharatanatyam dance performance by the renowned dancer Ms. Lucrezia Maniscoti of Academia Sangam, along with her student, received acclaim from the audience.
