On 19 September 2026, Consul General Mr. Lavanya Kumar met Deputy Mayor of Padova, Mr. Antonio Bressa, at Palazzo Moroni in Padova. They discussed key areas of bilateral interest, including cultural cooperation and the promotion of trade links between India and the Veneto region.

The meeting was also joined by Mr. Filippo Giacinti, Councilor for Budget and Heritage of the Veneto Region; Mr. Mario Pozza, President of Assocamerestero and President of Venicepromex; Mr. Andrea Torcelli, Chief Industrial & Manufacturing Technology Officer, Carraro Group, and Mr. Bruno Cesaro, Director of North East Territory, UBV World Group.

Consul General conveyed appreciation to the city administration for the measures being taken for the welfare of the Indian community in Padova.
