On 27 July 2026, Consul General Mr. Lavanya Kumar held productive discussions with the President of Confindustria Verona, Mr. Giuseppe Riello, at the latter's office in Verona. The Consul General briefed him on the general macroeconomic trends and investment opportunities in India.
They mutually agreed to identify sectors of interest to Italian companies in the Verona region for investment in India. The growing economy and rapidly expanding middle class in India offer vast opportunities for Italian companies aiming for internationalisation. The Vice President, Director General, and other members of Confindustria also participated in the discussions.
