Charanjeet Singh, Consul General

Bio Profile 

Charanjeet Singh joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1996. Prior to his present assignment he was Joint Secretary (Director General) in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi looking after India's engagement with multilateral groupings such as G-20, BRICS, Indian Ocean Rim Association etc. He has also served in the Indian Missions in Moscow and Bishkek. He was Consul General of India in Vladivostok (Russia) during 2004-2007. 

Charanjeet Singh holds a B.Sc (Hons.) in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Physics. He speaks Hindi, Punjabi, Rajasthani, English and Russian. He is married and has one son.
