A. Police Clearance Certificate:

  1. PCC for travel facility/visa/work related requirement : 
  2. PCC for applying Italian nationality : Applicant must check with his/her Comune whether it would accept PCC issued from Consulate.
    1. Most Comune in North Italy insist on PCC issued from India, duly apostiled from MEA with Italian translation attested from Italian Emabssy/Consulate in India. In such cases, the applicant may apply for PCC in India.
    2. For cases, when Comune is ready to accept PCC issued from the Consulate in Milan, applicant may apply for issuance of PCC at the Consulate. 

PCC for all categories will be issued only after verifcation. Applicants are requested to apply well ahead of time as verification usually takes time.

B. Who can apply:

Indian Nationals living in the areas of Lombardy, Piedmont, Aosta Valley, Trentino-Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Liguria and Emilia-Romagna can apply for PCC services by POST at the Consulate General of India in Milan.

C. Required documents

  1. Online application to be filled at https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in
  2. Clear copies of the relevant pages (first page, last page, visa page and endorsement pages) of the passport of the applicant (copies to be self-attested).
  3. Two Photographs (5cms x 5 cms). Click here for photo specifications, pasted on the application.
  4. Legalized copy of valid Permesso Di Soggiorno of the applicant. It is Mandatory to provide copy Legalized by Comune (copia conforme). If the validity of the Soggiorno has already expired, a clear copy of the Receipt for Renewal of the same should be attached.
  5. Clear copy of Address proof of the applicant (self-attested) (Carta D’Identita or any other proof like any Utility bill-electricity/water/fuel bill or rent agreement, Ospity along with translation in English).

D. Fee 

Fee of Euros 22(20+2 for ICWF) must be submitted only in form of Demand Draft (also known as Assegno Circolare) from your Bank or Post Office in favor of Consulate General of India.

  1. Fee submitted in form of Posta Vaglia or any other medium won’t be accepted. 
  2. Assegno Circolare can be obtained from your Bank or Post office.
  3. Please do not sign or write anything on backside of the Aseegno Circolare.
  4. Assegno Circolare should be in favour of Consulate General of India only. 
  5. Please note that Assegno Circolare in name of Consolato dell'India won’t be accepted.
  6. Your Assegno Circolare must be send to the Consulate along with the application form.

E. How to apply:

The application can be submitted by Postal means.  Prepaid self-addressed Envelope for return of Ready PCC must be provided with the postal application. Postal modes can be any of the following:
