Press Release for passport and OCI applications

The guidelines for passport and OCI applications are reiterated below:
• The photo attached to the passport and OCI applications must have light clear background (not white), size 51 x 51 mm (2 x 2 inch) with 80% coverage of face and both ears & shoulders visible. Specimen photo is as below:

Signature
• The list of the applicants whose photos are not up to mark is placed on our website ‘www.cgimilan.in’ under ‘Important Notices’ from time to time. The applicants for passport and OCI are requested to check their no. and if included in the list must send their photo and signature either by hand or by email in Jpeg files to vcconsul@consolatoindia.in to enable us process the applications further.
• Both parents must sign on behalf of their minor child.
• All the supporting Indian documents/certificates must be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs, India.
• The Indian address may be indicated in the column ‘address to be printed in the passport’ and local address in ‘other address’ column.
• The applicant must come in person to apply and collect the service desired.
• Till further notice, the applicants are free to submit their applications on any working day in the Consulate without prior appointment.
